Art of Tim Pearson
My work is heavily influenced by my observations of the natural world.
I have spent much of my life working and traveling in remote Alaska, Northern Minnesota, and Canada.
I draw from my experiences in these places to create works of art that tell a story. As a storyteller, I can share the unique personalities of a subject with the viewer.
I consider every subject I paint a character with its own story to tell.
I am a self taught artist primarily working in water media. I paint in watercolor, ink, gouache, casein, and acrylic.
I really enjoy working with water due to its free flowing nature and unpredictability.
I find water media to be very expressive and love the mood it creates.
We all struggle. Making art is what makes it better for me.
A motivating force in my art — in my life — is to share the value of the little things that people don’t notice.
